2020 Gibson SG Bass

This 2020 Gibson SG Bass has the legendary looks, sound and feel of Gibson's most iconic basses. The short scale length is preferred by many for the strong fundamental tone for which this bass is known. The solid mahogany body has deeply sculpted scarfing and the rounded profile mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard feels familiar and comfortable. A pair of calibrated SG bass pickups (neck and bridge) with individual volume and master tone controls add further tonal possibilities.

Body:  Mahogany in Ebony finish.

Neck:  Mahogany with a Rosewood fingerboard, 30.5” scale length, 1.6” nut width, 20 frets,  acrylic trapezoid inlays.

Pickups/Hardware: Gibson SG rhythm and lead pickups, Grover Shamrock tuning keys, 3 point adjustable bridge, black tophats with silver inserts knobs, Graph Tech nut.

Cosmetics: This guitar is in great shape. It has light surface scratches on the body. The back of the neck is clean, and the frets show minimal wear. There’s classic guitar hanger wear on the headstock. The back has light buckle rash. Overall, this guitar plays very well and sounds fantastic.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable.
