 Summary: This 1971 Gibson Les Paul Recording Bass contains multitudes-the twin low impedance humbuckers, coupled with the various tone, phase and impedance selectors, offer an enormous range of classic and future tones. The gorgeous bound Mahogany body, and classic Custom embellishments make this a true gem. 


 Body: Mahogany in a gloss Walnut finish.


Neck:  Mahogany with a Rosewood fingerboard,  30.5” scale length,  1.5” nut width, 24 frets, pearl block inlays.

 

Pickups/Hardware: Two low impedance Gibson humbucking pickups, Gibson tuning keys,  Gibson bridge, silver top bell knobs, bone nut.

 

Cosmetics: This bass is in great shape. It has light surface scratches on the body, along with honest wear and hairline crazing. The back of the neck is has some wear, but it does not affect playability, and the frets show minimal wear. One bridge saddle  has a chip out of it. The back has light buckle rash. Overall, this guitar plays very well and sounds fantastic.



Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable.
